The North Carolina Outdoor Sports Alliance
was created in an attempt to focus attention on the many
issues facing North Carolina Sportsman today. Foremost among
these issues is getting the Sunday Hunting law repealed. In
cooperation with the US Sportsman's Alliance and many volunteers
accross the state we look forward to progress in this area.
Message from Art Manning
In 2009 we have a chance to repeal the law (GS 103-2) that prohibits hunting on Sunday.
It is my understanding that Sen. Julia Boseman has introduced a bill. If we fail, we may not have as good a
chance again in our lifetimes. Generally, petitions have little effect unless targeted to specific reps
with all signatures coming from their district. You must call, email or write your rep and senator.
To get their contact info, go to www.ncleg.net, on the lower right click on “Who represents me”.
Searching by zip code is best. Also, look at the election results on the home page to see if you have a
new rep or senator. If so contact them. You can also call your county board of elections to determine
who they are, then call the General Assembly at 919-733-7928 and get their contact information. Also, contact
them more than just once and ask about progress in repeal of the law. Weekly contact by more than one means
is best. If we don’t get plenty of calls we will not get this repealed!! Copy and pass this along to every hunter
who wants to hunt on Sunday. THANKS!!
